A solo exhibition by minimalist painter and multimedia artist, Sean W. Spellman.

"Carvings, etc is a collection of pieces informed by the coastal landscape of California, and specifically parts of the Southern coast that have been respites of relaxation and contemplation for me in the past. I have been curious about wood as a medium, in a mild three-dimensional sense, looking similar to a painting on paper. These pieces are early explorations of that direction. This show also features larger paintings on canvas in which I have used pigments like indigo and flowers from my backyard, along with classic acrylics and ink."
